In fact, doodlers retain 29% more information than non-doodlers.*

Don't let anyone tell you that doodling is a waste of time or that you're not paying attention. Doodling is an incredible way to process information and slow our minds down just long enough to actually absorb what we're hearing without daydreaming or becoming overwhelmed by data.

For best results, doodle daily.

  • Giving us access to parts of our brain we can't always conciously connect with.
  • Igniting innovation which gives us a competitive edge in work and school.
  • Making our home organization and play a lot more fun.
  • Helping us process emotions and set intentions for the future.
  • Practicing a calming exercise you can do from just about anywhere.
  • Enhancing our connection with others.

Creatives Just Like You Love Doodle Days:

Doodle Days - Chelsea Radley

My style is uniquely my own.

The Doodle Days Challenge helped me to really accept my style and stop envying what 'everyone else' could do. Sharing was part of the challenge and I faced it head on.

Earnest Morgan - Doodle Days

I felt like a part of me was missing...

...but now it's back thanks to the Doodle Days Challenge and blog. I now draw and think about drawing daily - when I don't, I feel incomplete!

Meet Angelica, Creator of Doodle Days:

Angelica Suarez - AngSuarez Creative

I’m a life-long doodler and visual language lover.

If you’re anything like me, doodling is more than just a silly hobby - it's an intuitive way to express what words can't.

The problem is, most of us don't make it a habit to create daily. I created Doodle Days to help you (and me!) change that.

Use these prompts as a go-to guide when you’re feeling stuck creatively, mentally, or emotionally. You'll be amazed at just how powerful a doodle can be.

For more tools and inspiring ideas on how you can incorporate doodling into your creative journey, be sure to visit me on my website or on Facebook and Instagram.

Frequently Asked Q's

Q: I’m not a good doodler/drawer. Should I still give it a try?

A: First, let's get this out of the way. "Good" is subjective, and "can't" isn't true. At least for this, you probably "can't" turn yourself into a fish, but when you're trying to learn a skill like doodling, please hear me on this - YES YOU CAN. Doodling is so good for our brains. It helps us remember better, relieves anxiety, and helps us exercise our creative muscles. You don’t even have to love art to love doodling. We’re all born ready to create and interpret images as messages. It’s like a language you forgot you knew!

Q: Do I need anything special to participate?

A: Nope, not really. If you have a pen, stylus, pencil, crayon, paintbrush or chalk you can participate.

Q: Do I have to use my Instagram account to share my doodles?

A: No - we now have an exclusive Facebook group I'd love to invite you to - just sign up below and you'll get the information once your email is confirmed.

Just a quick note - if you do choose to use Instagram, I would LOVE to see your doodles – but can’t view them (even with the hashtag) if your account is private. If you’re not comfortable making your Instagram public, consider creating a separate account just for your doodles.

Q: What if I signed up late? Can I get previous doodles?

A: YES! All previous month's doodles for this year are housed in the Facebook group to reference later. :)

Q: Do I have to doodle the prompt for that day?

A: No, not at all! The prompts are there to motivate you and inspire you (should you need it). Don't worry if you don't like the prompt for the day - just draw!
